I didn't know about the problematic use of xsd:duration. So the use of xdt:yearMonthDuration and  xdt:dayTimeDuration seems to be a better choice.

I've hoped that I can avoid blank nodes this time. As I understand there is no difference between

@prefix xs: <http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#> .
@prefix time: <http://www.w3.org/2006/time#> .

$service time:durationDescriptionDataType "-P2Y"^^^xs:yearMonthDuration .

and

$service time:durationDescriptionDataType [ 
    rdf:value "-P2Y"^^^xs:yearMonthDuration 
] .

But I'm confused about the time ontology. It's a working draft http://www.w3.org/TR/owl-time/ and within the owl file http://www.w3.org/2006/time there is no property time:durationDescriptionDataType defined??
