[dini-ag-kim-identifier] Http-URIs for items

Hello list,

at KIM Workshop 12. April it was mentioned to maybe close
dini-ag-kim-identifier because of too low traffic. It was also discussed to
begin a discussion at dini-ag-kim-lld at maybe move a thread if its worth to
the more specialised list.

(In my opinion this discussion list _may_ help us, so I give it a try )

However...
At lobid.org we were wondering how to mint http-URIs for library items
(exemplars)[1] and come to the conclusion that "the following form would be the
best:

http://lobid.org/item/$resourceID:$signature

i.e.

http://lobid.org/item/HT000494055:3E+6294

because we discovered (example missing) that it may occur that one signature
denotes in fact multiple, different items , even if it is in one and the same
organisation. With the conjunction of resource ID and signature we avoid any
possible ambiguities."[2]

This is really a minor thing because at least there will be only some 0.0..1%
of URIs affected, but then:

1. URIs should always identify one thing and
2. they are arbitrary

So why not use my suggested shape to be at the save side?

Another thing:
I know that b3kat and Jakob Voss actually use URIs like this:
http://lod.b3kat.de/bib/<ISIL>/item/<Katalognummer> [3]

but then these are not URIs for an item but rather a URI for a whole lot of
items. How will you be able to i.e. say anything like "item A is lend, but item
B is available"? Or "item A is in a good condition, item B is in bad condition" ?

Any comments?
