Ich denke, diese Nachricht aus den LoC MARC Buro wird einige in den RAK-List interessieren:

The Network Development and MARC Standards Office has made available a
study that identifies the relationship of the MARC 21 data elements to:
- the Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records (FRBR) model,
- the models defined in the a FRBR/AACR study, The Logical Structure of
the Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules, and
- a set of user tasks that the format logically supports.

The study was commissioned by the Office and carried out by the contractor
largely responsible for the two above model studies, Tom Delsey. The
Office plans to use it as a tool for future development of MARC 21, but it
is being made generally available so others can also use it in research,
experimentation, and implementations.

The study is available in PDF and is extensive. The access site gives the
user information on the size of each section. The report itself is short
as the bulk of the work is in the appendices that contain tables for MARC
elements and other information.

The access page is:
http://www.loc.gov/marc/marc-functional-analysis/home.html.
There is also a link from the main MARC 21 home page:
