[Tp-legal] Statement about LLM training under TDM exceptions

Happy New Year, everyone!

I’d like to take up our statement about LLM training again since we really should publish it as soon as possible. Paweł’s draft along with Gianna’s contributions is here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PcMPG8zJfuElLO8mI13rn7SUGOeTSOzFeTs5yWEWZPA/edit?tab=t.0

I’d suggest a last round of comments until Monday, 13th January, so that Gianna and Paweł (again a suggestion) can finalise the statement in the course of next week. Would that be okay with everyone?

Apart from the content of the statement, Peter and I have thought about possible ways of getting some audience for the statement. The rather easy solution we came up with is to publish the statement on the Text+ web portal and post short teasers with a link to the statement in a variety of mailing lists and newsletters such as the ones of NFDI, dbv, DINI, CLARIN-D, and DARIAH-DE. Any other (better?) ideas?

Best,
Philippe
