Dear Colleagues,

CONSER is surveying the library community to discuss the possibility of
changing our policies regarding the creation of multiple records for
serial titles in aggregations. The survey provides background on the
problems involved, two options, and questions for you to respond to. We
ask that you include your institution's name in the response to the last
question and that there be only one response per institution.

The survey is on the CONSER Web site at:
http://www.loc.gov/acq/conser/aggregatorproposal7_22.html

Please send in your response by Tuesday, September 10. Based on the
results of the survey and further investigation, a recommendation will
be developed for the PCC Policy Committee in November.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to consider this important
issue and responding to the survey.
