systems are in common use in institutions in the United States as well as in other countries. Institutions invited to participate in the survey include academic libraries, public libraries, museums, historical societies and similar organizations regardless
of size.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoPlainText">Little has been written about map classification systems over the past 30 years and your participation in the survey would be most helpful to Map Catalogers, Map Librarians, and others responsible for organizing and classifying cartographic
