Das bei der LC angesiedelte "Program for Cooperative Cataloging,
Standing Committee on Standards" (PCC SCS), hat eine Stellungnahme zum
RDA-Entwurf abgegeben:

In der Einleitung steht:
"Some of us feel that we need to again stop the current process and take
an even more radical change of course."

(In der RDA-Liste schrieb der SCS-Vorsitzende Paul Weiss vorige Woche:
"We need to change RDA to be a broader, integrated plan". Seiner
Meinung nach ist alles noch viel zu traditionsverhaftet und zu stark
buchbezogen.)

Die Lektüre lohnt. Wann RDA wohl fertig sein wird, ist demnach weniger
klar als zuvor.
