Technical Bulletin 247: OCLC-MARC Format Update 2002 is
now available at < http://www.oclc.org/technicalbulletins/247/ >
in both PDF and HTML formats.

TB247 announces changes to OCLC-MARC records based
on: MARC 21 Format for Bibliographic Data Update
(October 2001), MARC 21 Bibliographic and Authority New
Data Elements Technical Notice (June 2002) and MARC
Code List Technical Notices and Updates.

TB247 also includes information about coding practices for
integrating resources.

System implementation for the Format Update is scheduled
for December 1, 2002.

Distribution of printed copies begins the week of November 11.
