will not be possible unless the system works well in practice. This includes the need for an efficient functioning of the EUIPO portal, one that responds to the needs, priorities and workflows of the cultural heritage institutions that provide the data. A
system supported via an API can lead to a substantial increase in data being made available through the EUIPO portal, data that would otherwise not be shared because of the limitations that the current manual upload workflow will present for many cultural
heritage institutions.
